Make art a family affair!  

Children ages 5-12, and their accompanying grown-ups, participate in a gallery experience, followed by a related art workshop.

Explore works by African American artists in the Norton collection. Become inspired to create your own work of art using similar techniques.

Themes for every month

March Family Studio / Girl Power!

It's Women's Month, and we're celebrating women artist on view! In the studio, make your creations inspired by the female phenoms.

April Family Studio / Print Like a Master

Learn unique printmaking techniques as you find inspiration from the greats. Enjoy a tour of the prints on view and then test out what you've learned in the studio.

May Family Studio / Myriad of Materials

Artists make art using a variety of materials. As you explored the museum, look at how artists make art out of clay, wood, and even glass.

How to Attend

Classes are live in-person and are limited to 5 families.

$3 Per Family

Once you register your family, you will receive a confirmation email.

Accessibility

The health and safety of our guests is a top priority for the Norton Museum. Beginning October 1, 2021, guests (ages 12+) visiting the Norton Museum of Art will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours; or a negative COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test conducted within 24 hours; OR voluntarily show proof of COVID-19 vaccination (together with a valid photo ID for ages 18+). 

This policy is based on guidance and recommendations issued by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other authoritative or controlling government-issued health standards.

Beginning October 1, 2021, guests (ages 12+) visiting the Norton Museum of Art will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 professionally administered PCR test taken within 72 hours; or a negative COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test conducted within 24 hours; OR voluntarily show proof of COVID-19 vaccination (together with a valid photo ID for ages 18+). 
"At-home” COVID-19 tests are not accepted. Professionally administered tests only.

Masks are required at all times regardless of negative tests or vaccination status,
except when visiting the Museum Garden or while actively eating or drinking in The Restaurant or Great Hall
